Things Took a Turn

I've been running the Things Took a Turn anthology annually since 2018.
Things Took a Turn is an animation anthology that challenges artists of marginalized genders (including women, non-binary artists, and trans men) to create new animated short stories by twisting familiar narratives

I created the anthology as a means to encourage myself to keep making short films after graduating from school, but in opening the idea up to the public I ended up creating something much bigger. I want it to be a place where people can experiment with styles they’ve never worked in before, and learn to tell stories with more intent within a genre. One of my favorite parts is when I get to create a new poster every year to announce the theme.
